Military Surplus Helicopter Sales

In nearly every country, there is a military defence force that makes extensive use of helicopters either for travelling to specific areas for training or for defence purposes. Due to wear and tear, these helicopters depreciate over time and thus the military cannot use them anymore and needs to dispose of them. Due to the space available, we find that the military finds it difficult to keep them and thus the only option left is to sell them. These kinds of helicopters are then referred to as military surplus and the military has the task of selling them to whoever is willing to buy. There is a process involved in these transactions as one should bear in mind that helicopters are quite expensive, a detailed procedure must be followed in order to dispose of the military surplus helicopters.

When carrying out military surplus helicopter sales, the government of the country concerned in disposing of the used helicopters has the mandate to search for responsible agents who will explore the market thoroughly and look for willing buyers who are ready to buy at fair prices since the helicopters are certainly not worn out. It has been noted that there are companies that have emerged to deal in the sales of these military surplus helicopters.

These helicopters are sold to individuals who are willing to buy and convert them into civilian or passenger helicopters. We find that many helicopters that carry passengers have just been modified from military usage to civilian usage. Although this process of converting is expensive, the individual or the organisation interested in the conversion of the military surplus helicopter into a civilian one, finds it accommodative because the conversion cost plus the buying price do not outweigh the purchase price for a new helicopter.
